However, when the American Movie Awards presented us with an award for Best Music Video, this is the first time that "Danger" was actually presented with a physical award, so that was super cool! Mainly we're just stoked that at least one person had to rock out to the tune to make this happen. Keep rockin' to the BOB, people!

Unfortunately, the sound from the GoPros was unbearable, and since we didn't have any conceptual video plan in the works for "Poor Daniel," we added the recorded track LOVE LOST FOR BLOOD LUST, dashed in some imagery, a la Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills," and BOOM...music video. Enjoy!

It was in that environment in which BOBGOBLIN traveled underground to try to support a rebellion of sorts. Believe me, we didn't really want to live out this reality. I will say, when we first made it up, critics - and I have even agreed with some of their opinions on the matter - dismissed the concept as "unweildy" and stupid. Yeah, unfortunately it was so stupid that it had to begin to unfold in real life. Yes, in the REAL story - that of the election in a REAL nation - democracy was at work, and people seemingly were speaking in favor of anti-establishment and what they THINK will help them economically (it won't help anyone in this band, because a Republican rubber stamp means the loss of each of our health care benefits, which had been only facilitated in recent years by the Affordable Care Act). But it was also a clear validation of ideas, words and actions that no one should pass on to their children, if they prefer that they be respectful individuals:
"Mexicans are Rapists and Criminals"
"A Mexican Cannot Judge Fairly."
"I don't rent my property to black people (and I settled on this issue when the DOJ sued me for it)."
"Black guys cannot count my money"
"Laziness is a trait in Blacks - It's not anything they can control (exact quote)."
"KKK Leaders are welcome to campaign for me."
"No way a black president is a legitimate leader. He probably wasn't even born here."
"Muslims should be banned"
"Even when black kids are found not-guilty, they're still guilty."
"Protesters should be roughed up."
"It's okay to make fun of the disabled when they don't agree with you. Even when they're 12-years old and have Cerebral Palsy, go ahead and physically kick their wheelchair out of rallies if they express an opposing view (That actually did happen)."
"Soldiers aren't heroes if they're caught and held prisoner (the opinion of a draft dodger, by the way)"
"Jews are still to blame for most of our problems."
"If you don't feel like it, don't pay bills to people who don't have enough money to come after you for not paying them"
"It's okay to insinuate grab-ass with your daughter."
"If you're emboldened enough, grab any women's pussy at will. They'll let you do it."
"Women who are not perfectly fit are not worthy."
"Just generally...women suck unless they want to fuck me, provided I deem them attractive enough to do so."
"Oh....and fuck health care for people who wouldn't otherwise get it (which includes the guys in BOBGOBLIN)."

Many will claim that the next leader of the "Free World" doesn't really believe these things, and perhaps it's true, but so many rushed out to vote FOR him because they do believe those things. From the Virginia KKK Leader: "“The reason a lot of Klan members like Donald Trump is because a lot of what he believes, we believe in.”

This is not some sour grapes speech that I came up with just because Donald Trump - a joke candidate from a satirical, Jonathan Swift-ian world - is the next President of the United States (in fact, we as individuals in this band don't adhere lock-step to a political party, pining instead for an anti-establishment movement of a DIFFERENT sort). Nae, we have always been built upon speaking about women's issues and demographic bullying, so bringing up these implications is not some new territory for us. In fact, it's old hat. However, this IS a realization that the aforementioned, disgusting insinuations and statements have been validated tonight as OKAY by the masses. If all of those things are clearly OKAY to believe, out in the open, in the 21st Century....than, no matter what the President and his future rubber stamp government do, the people themselves are going the wrong way; a way in which they just CANNOT abide by certain groups of people, who they will statistically never meet or deal with, doing things without their permission, oversight, and punishment. And the original BOBGOBLIN concept, where the zenophobia of angry white people was legitimized and stoked by an emboldened leadership - the concept that we dumped in favor of focusing on our music - is, at least in part, unfolding in plain sight tonight. The question for the band now is - will it result in a record? Maybe we already did. I wrote "Feel No Pain" about President Bush and his banking industry buddies, I thought. But if you read the lyrics, it actually fits Donald like 10 times more appropriately.

BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/44006202016-10-02T17:59:27-05:002024-02-19T09:06:39-06:00HIGH QUALITY VIDEO DOWNLOADS
A notice for either die-hard collectors of BOBGOBLIN music and vids or for the curious: we have made video files for "Danger" and "Sinistar" available on the videos page. Hyun's Dojo had planned to release the video on their very popular YouTube channel concurrently with our release of it on our channel. However, when the Dojo saw how everything had come together, they decided to postpone the release of the original version on their channel and, as a special surprise to us, provide additional content that would make the whole video ever better! To back up a bit, we had initially discussed a scene where our hero would have to face the "Boss" of the danger signs, but it was originally scrapped for scheduling reasons. After seeing the original version, The Dojo decided that the "Boss" scene must be completed, so they were able to make it happen, and thus an extended and more dynamic version of the video was edited together and can now be found on both our channel and Hyon's Dojo. So, just as "Close Encounters" had to be re-released as a "Special Edition" in 1980, after more special effects were added, we now present the "Special Edition" of our music video for "Danger."
BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/42911752016-07-22T18:20:29-05:002022-05-26T12:11:08-05:00BOBGOBLIN "DANGER" MUSIC VIDEOIt was a long time coming, and there are still more videos for the last record in the queue, but the first official music video from the LOVE LOST FOR BLOOD LUST record, has finally been released. Whereas a lot of LOVE LOST FOR BLOOD LUST deals - often with an ironic whimsy consistent throughout our catalog - with the socio-economically oppressive, corporate fascism that we believe spins the world, some of the songs deal with the matter on a larger scale by noting the real violence and impact on the society as a whole. A few of the songs, however, skirt around the rim of the matter, touching upon the smaller, more intimately annoying byproducts of the state of things. I wrote this song while trying to resolve an administrative matter with a corporation via a phone conversation. As I'm sure many of you know - it's never a phone conversation as much as it is a float trip on a leaking kayak through the middle of a massive electronic whirlpool, with each punch of a number on the dial being a shove back to the center of the vortex, as you exhaustively try to paddle your way out of the center. Alas, you reach a human at some point! And they promptly do all they can to get you back to a robot, away from the answer you seek, and back into the center of the vortex. Kind of in the same way that almost all of the songs on AOJ's COPING - all basically one-sided conversations with corporate management of some sort - were construed as person-to-person love songs and disagreements (and that's cool if it works for the listener), this song sounds like a love song. And it is, if you change the word "love" to "hate." Because I fucking hate making that call.

BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/39572472015-12-09T13:33:00-06:002022-08-16T01:54:54-05:00WAITING ON CHRISTMAS 2.0We recorded this song long ago for an Idol Records, but unfortunately because of time constraints or whatever, we were not able to record it in the manner we would have liked at that time. It was basically recorded in a bedroom, and Rob played a drum machine. Although it was impressive to see Rob rock the song on a drum machine with his fingers, and with a prowess that rivals his skills on a real kit, there were obviously reservations. Zach Blair of Rise Against, Hagfish, and Draculas fame was doing time with AOJ at that time (our alter-ego moniker, for the unintiated), and he was the guitarist on the recording. There was a lot of good in the original, but with the fact that people would continue to bring it up, we always wished it would sound better. Well, now it does. Produced in the same manner of our recent CD release, "Love Lost for Blood Lust," our best foot was put forward on this recording. Enjoy!
BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/39203122015-11-09T10:07:13-06:002022-05-19T21:45:55-05:00LAST MINUTE RECORDING In the studio with secret weapon Barry Poynter recording and reprising a special holiday treat (coming late this month) before heading off on a Western hike to play with Lagwagon, Joy Subtraction, Loudmouth Lisa, Action Jets, and Snailmate, among others. Excellent time at the festival! By playing this song, as we often do, it may seem that we're dipping into the cookie jar of our own alter-ego's stash - that being the stash of AOJ's two LPs worth of tunes. However, while "End of the Planet" could be considered the first AOJ tune, it was also the last BOBGOBLIN tune before we took a break from the name. We actually played it a few times in Motor Forces uniform, and it was initially recorded with the thought that it was kicking off the sessions for the next BOBGOBLIN LP after 12-POINT. But the business of music got in the way, and the rest is history. Thus, "End of the Planet" will always officially be the first song on the AOJ record "Part 3: Coping with Insignificance." The bottom line is that beyond the confusion brought about by the change in monikers (and back), the reality is that we wrote it and we like playing it, so if you catch us live, there's a good chance you'll hear it. It was written with the ultimately unfounded hysteria of Y2K looming upon us, but looking at things as they are 15 years later, it seems even more relevant. Though it was meant to be more of an indictment of increasing corporate pervasiveness than a musical "Day After Tomorrow," it's hard to deny that as each day passes, the closer the world comes to its end, so this song will never go out of style ;). There will likely be a 2-week to 1 month period during which no song from that record will be available via those services, but of course the entire record will be available on our site and via bobgoblin.bandcamp.com during that downtime. We will notify everyone when the album is available via iTunes, et al.

2) MAILING LIST: Even though we haven't corresponded via email up to this point, instead relying on our Facebook and Twitter posts to get word out, we do have a growing number of you on our mailing list. That being the case, we are inclined to start using our mailing list for bigger announcements, so true Jet-rockers and BMP'ers will know via email when we have new songs posted and new shows announced. If you would like to be on that list, please sign up here so we can notify you when big missions have been completed or are being planned.

3) VINYL AND THRUSTER: For those curious, we do plan to have a special vinyl package available for LOVE LOST FOR BLOOD LUST, and since THRUSTER is getting closer to completion, we may have vinyl for that album right behind it. It does take a very long time to get vinyl produced, via the service that we use at least, so by the time we actually get copies of LLFBL in our hands, it will be time to put the THRUSTER package together. Note that THRUSTER will have the 5-6 classic arcade tribute songs that we had been planning to do for like 15 years, two of which are here, but to round it out to a full release, unreleased tracks and other songs unrelated to the arcade collection will be added.

4) BMP'ERS UNITE AND CONQUER: Indeed, it does take a long time for us to get things done, since we're trying to do so many other things to finance our real job of making BOB-rock, but realize that we are always writing and trying to get in the studio. In the case of LOVE LOST, much time was taken up by the many tracks that came and went, either because we just weren't happy with them or because we decided the song didn't fit the vibe of collection. Thus, we relegated them to the "unreleased tracks" bin even though we did spend a good deal of time on them. We also bailed out of the LLFBL project for while to work on other records for other people and purposes. Plus there were changes in the studio, changes in lives...things happen, and no one is behind a curtain demanding that we deliver this or that (meanwhile, it took only a couple months to deliver a full-featured album of tunes that were demanded of us by a music licensing company...you'll probably never hear those). Be that as it may, LLFBL is now finally ready as a complete collection that we are very happy with, and as we distribute and support that record, promoting it in earnest for the first time while producing videos to go along with it, we are right back to the paper, writing the next collection. No matter how small our fan base is, no matter the amount of detractions we may receive from...detractors, and no matter how much even people close to us may scoff, THIS is what we were born to do, and we will keep rockin' on...because we simply can't help it. SO GET OUT THERE BMP, and let the people know that BOBGOBLIN is for real, and they're coming to rock your socks off!!

BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/38341032015-08-27T22:26:41-05:002022-04-25T03:00:48-05:00"ALWAYS THERE WILL BE THE INTOXICATION POWER"Believe it not, we're actually about to have the entire LOVE LOST FOR BLOOD LUST record posted on the music page, followed by an actual CD, which is on its way to us. That's the big news, of course. BUT as we prepare our site and other online outlets for the availability of the complete LOVE LOST collection, we also wanted to hip you to the fact that along with another sneak peak at the NEXT release, we've made this 2-year-old, random, retro-techno mix of "Poor Daniel" available on the music page. Not big news for you true Jet-rockers out there waiting on more from LOVE LOST and THRUSTER, but if you're like a certain prominent Dallas-based journalist (and all-around cool dude, who will know who he is) who once told us, "Man, that techno mix of Poor Daniel is MY JAM....I mean, the real song is okay, but THAT IS MY JAM"....you might enjoy this. Not sure what possessed...uh, Mass Gravity....to spend that much time on this thing, but I imagine there was a Paul Hardcastle possession involved, and a subsequent exorcism. Actually, there is a George Orwell quote in this mix, the idea behind which influences a good bit of our songwriting and imagery, and it sums up the ideas in the real "Poor Daniel" song perhaps as well or better than could otherwise be understood: "Always, there will be the intoxication of power....at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory of trampling on an enemy who's helpless."
PLAY OR DOWNLOAD the POOR DAN-SMIX
BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/38315162015-08-24T23:07:10-05:002022-05-01T05:14:12-05:00A "MISSILE COMMAND" LATE-STAGE RUFF MIXLISTEN TO "MISSILE COMMAND"

There are tracks that we've done that I personally consider more true to the original BOBGOBLIN concept than others. The songs most phallic in their satire, most pointed towards man's (the male gender specifically) will to show that he can run shit into the ground when he so desires, and most resembling of a rock 'n' roll tank-blast, are the ones that most exemplify the ongoing, "Strangelov-ean" mission that we embarked on over 20 years ago. There aren't too many in the repertoire that drastically depart from that mission - for better or worse - but what could be more true to the mission than a song titled "Missile Command?" This track wil be part of the forthcoming classic arcade tribute EP, THRUSTER, which had been in the queue for many years before we finally got around to it. As those close to us know, it takes many years of us navigating our workaday duties, tending to our loved ones and saving money to complete these fully independent projects, but on the eve of finally coming out with a physical product for the LOVE LOST FOR BLOOD LUST album, THRUSTER is on its way to completion. Note: THRUSTER will not only contain the classic arcade tribute songs, it will also be rounded out by unreleased bonus tracks from the LOVE LOST sessions and other unheard tracks.BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/38226672015-08-17T14:20:59-05:002022-02-22T08:07:27-06:00COMING TO A THEATRE NEAR...SOME OF YOU.BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/37768122015-07-14T01:24:02-05:002022-05-15T05:34:45-05:00NOT A NEW VIDEO....NOT A NEW ISSUE, BUT IT NEVER GETS OLD.BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/37681982015-07-07T11:35:03-05:002022-08-06T05:51:47-05:00UNSUBVERSIVELY SUBVERSIVE
When this song came out, one could follow a number of known acts that were much more overtly subversive and provocative than these girls from LA. In my own early attempts to reach for stuff that my peers ignored, no matter the musical genre or style, I didn't give them much of my time then, even though their presence couldn't be easily escaped. However, when you consider the very unfortunate and shocking happenstance that there would not TO THIS DAY be another all-female band - who wrote their own stuff - to chart and resonate like the Go Gos did, they almost become subversive and provocative by default as a band who broke through a gender barrier and likely inspired a large section of the young female population who may have had yet to find a seemingly more profound feminist inspiration. Of course, even though I consider myself in no position to comment on how female acts develop or how they should, or by what young females should be inspired, I by no means fault women for the fact that all-female-band successes on that level are not ever-present. I naturally fault the different forms of corporate marginalization, as I do with most issues. But I digress. Though their videos featured them in colorful, inoffensive clothing and smiling faces, and though they lacked the indie cool factor of bands like their overtly subversive contemporaries The Slits or more recent all-female acts like Sleater-Kinney, there is enough raw and unabashed energy to those early recordings, with their mix of surf, mod-rock and what I would call "pre-emo," that to ignore the cool factor of BEAUTY AND THE BEAT and parts of VACATION is, in my opinion, to be blinded by the commercialization that occurred as soon as it was learned that they might be something special. If nothing else, from a song-writing standpoint, the Go Gos best songs are - if there were an objective measure for a great song - about as good as they get. I mean, "Our Lips Are Sealed," We Got the Beat," "Head Over Heels," and "Vacation"....that's a significant amount of undeniably hooky and superbly constructed songs that were not only huge hits, they were important as cultural statements. Factoring in production, the potential angles of lyrical interpretation, cultural importance, song structure, and melodic hook, I would put "Our Lips are Sealed" on my list of the Top 20 American Pop-Rock songs (Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime" is and will always be No.1, and the Beach Boys could possibly sit on about 30% of the list). I suppose it seems, at this point, that I'm just some Go Gos fanboy that can't stand not to express his love for them and try to convince would-be readers of their coolness. Uh...not really. Admittedly I've only listened to their two seminal records a handful of times, whereas I've listened to the Breeders LAST SPLASH album, for example, like 1200 times, and I'd much rather listen to Kleenex or The Slits if I'm just passing time. However, I just heard this song again recently, and it dawned on me that there may be an under-appreciation of their significance by whatever pop-culture intelligentsia there may be (and if there is such a thing...fuck them anyway) and that perhaps beneath the veil of American wholesomeness and commercial-acceptability lies an unacknowledged yet inherent subversiveness. I'm sure some Sontag-ian essayist has put it all together in a more intelligent way, so let's just set that very long-winded introduction aside, and say that if "Our Lips are Sealed" were on top of the charts today, it would perhaps be seen as a most poignant indictment of our current, troll-ridden, social-media-centric, news-as-propaganda culture....or it could a be the co-opted themesong for the corporations that make up the American military industrial complex.

BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/36688592015-04-21T01:23:21-05:002022-07-19T07:19:45-05:00TURD BLOSSOM I guess the Earth is not necessarily dropping huge turds more than it always has, we just get to watch it drop the turds more often now, AND we get to see what the turds actually look like! Todays turd? It's this random-ass person from Dallas, unfortunately, who enjoys her role as a business owner/CEO, but doesn't think women have the right gender-makeup for the presidency. We wouldn't give her the satisfaction of bringing her up (in fact, let's borrow Karl Rove's nickname and call her Turd Blossom in place of her real name), except her zig-zaggy position on the matter sounded EXACTLY like the response that supporting politicians were throwing around recently in regards to the Freedom of Religion bills. Their reasoning was pretty much this: "I'm not saying people shouldn't be free to be what they are and live their lives, I'm just saying that we should have the right to deny their freedom so that ours can be preserved. But I am in no way saying they shouldn't have their rights, I'm just saying that we need to preserve ours....it's just that the only way to do that is by limiting theirs." Almost as if she picked up on that meme, Blossom justified her stance: "By no means am I saying every woman out there who doesn't do what I do is a bad female, or that your daughter shouldn't aspire to be the president. If that's what she wants, that's great, go for it. All it means is that I don't support that, that's my personal opinion." We have to give her props for taking note of the talking points that were thrown around a few weeks ago on a different subject and reworking them here when the need is to backtrack. Clevah, Sis! Clevah, clevah! I suppose we also have to give Today's Turd mad props for somehow being more relevant than all the other Hoosiers that say random crap on Facebook. We've been saying random crap and backing it up with a killer soundtrack for years, but apparently if random crap has a great hook, it's not the kind of random crap that deserves relevancy. Oh, Blossom is also going to move to Canada if Clinton becomes president. Please do, Blossom! I recommend a secluded area in the Northwest Territories, as you probably won't have much use for the places in Canada where there are people, considering that those people made Canada the first place outside of Europe to legalize same-sex marriage. They also maintain a position of legal abortion, pot-smoking, and a way more Obamacare-y version of Obamacare! We've saved you the research, Turd....you might prefer staying in Texas even under the presidency of a woman. As a side note - we do not condone a Hillary Clinton presidency ourselves, but would love to see another woman be president. Improper usage and allocation of energy resources is resulting in a variety of dire circumstances. One could go on forever about TODAY's problems, and by TODAY's problems, I mean problems that are unique to THIS day. Yes, overpopulation in a given space was perhaps a problem in, say, the 15th century, but how to divide up the space on the entire Earth among SEVEN BILLION people is a problem of today. With so many problems that are unique to today, HOW IN THE FUCK are we wasting time with problems that should have been put in the garbage and incinerated thousands of years ago? Once homosapiens reached a certain level in our ability to reason, an awareness of current and real problems in any given era should have rendered certain concerns extinct. But some apes just can't help to rehash these things every year, every month, and every day. We still, after eons of informational development, have to deal with assholes that want every group that they consider an "other" to get in their rightful place and refrain from traveling outside of it. I have an idea. Why don't these assholes (and I'm talking primarily about people who defiantly take their cues from what they think is a religious manifest destiny), get the fuck in THEIR rightful place and stay there (i.e., completely out of sight), allowing the sane people (people who do not base their actions on strangely power-inducing fairy-tales) to move about freely without interaction with the likes of them? This would finally allow the sane people the space to deal with ACTUAL problems. The fact that we still deal with issues that plagued humans when humanity was in its infancy (i.e., when humans actually looked like monkeys and were not just monkeys dressed in modern human suits), when a primate from outside the tribe would unknowingly saunter into a hostile environment, is mind-numbing to humans that dare to dream that we can progress as a specie. The fact that we still deal with fear of homosexuality, skin color, cultural differences, differences in belief, and SCIENCE, is not only bewildering and exasperating, but it also hinders reasonable humans from dealing with REAL problems that we actually need to deal with. Helping to proliferate the ignorance, members of government at every level in every corner of the nation are not only direct representatives of the assholes that roam the land worrying about dumber things than their primate ancestors did, they could actually be the dumbest of the lot. Indeed, government officials, law enforcement agents, and people who want to be law enforcement agents seem to form a petri dish of the most concentrated form of STEWPID and disgusting that we could come up with. Therefore, since over the course of thousands of years we cannot get past the concerns of animals, and since we cannot understand how to focus on real and current problems, then the resulting effect is regression. We are not only going nowhere, we are easily going backwards. Why all this on the band blog? Perhaps there is a relation. When we started out in the early-mid-90s, we spent some time trying to deflect accusations that we were just trying to be like DEVO with our flashy black jumpsuits. We would not deny them as an influence, but they were no more of one than tons of other 70s/80s bands, and they were much less of an influence on our aesthetic (or schtick, as some would say) than the satirically militaristic anarcho-punk of the 70s - we simply added some science fiction and took it from there. Nonetheless, starting in the early 90s, at a time when flannel and grunge were the thing and flashy black jumpsuits were definitely not, we would have to listen to the heckles as we approached the stage..."Nice suits, Devo!" This was, by the way, also a time when drunk lunkheads at a club might use a derogatory tone when calling you "Devo." Earlier and later, it might be a compliment. Anyway...knowing it was pointless to retort, we might have thought to ourselves, "No...we are not Devo." But now, after the non-stop barrage of idiocy I've witnessed in my time on Earth so far, knowing now that it will not change, I realize we were wrong. We are indeed Devo. Everyone on earth is Devo. We are going backwards. Fast. And unfortunately for the ones I love, it sometimes feels like it's almost over.

BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/36289472015-03-28T02:36:58-05:002022-05-30T04:42:44-05:00A JOYFUL DIVISION OF OUR PAST YEARSThis video, created for reasons I do not currently know, is pretty damn sweet on a number of levels relating to our band history, with none of them really having anything to do with our deer-eyed, mandatory viewings of this show in the early stages of fatherhood. Rather...besides the fact that it's set to Joy Division, which would be worthy enough on its own....it reminds me personally of when we would play a Dallas club in the mid-late 90s, and then afterwards convene at Tony's crib near Fair Park to decompress; we would turn on the tube at like 2:30-3am and this show would be one of the few things on (Tony did not have cable). We would just sit and stare at the screen and wonder what in the absolute fuck was going on. It was clear that The Teletubbies was obviously an extremely viable option for late-night candy flippers who did not have a laser show or a rave handy. To add to the nostalgia....soon after we had made ourselves aware of this crazy-ass show, conservatives, just like they do in almost every circumstance today, brought this show up and regarded it as some sort of ploy to recruit toddlers into the fold of homosexuality. Ummm....yeah, whatever. That wrinkle naturally made the show way cooler than it probably would have otherwise been, transforming a benign attempt by BBC producers to occupy a child's brain with comforting scenes for a small portion of the day into a significant work of art by virtue of involuntary activism. Lastly, the shitty quality of this edit reminds me of of some of the weird cable access programs of the late 80s and 90s - not necessarily a good thing, but certainly of a time, as shitty-looking cable access productions of the 90s had their own vibe compared to the usual shitty-looking YouTube videos of today. I'm sure many would disagree, but from my POV....there is much more to this vid than the sum of its parts:
BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/36164032015-03-21T23:13:54-05:002022-05-15T05:36:28-05:00F**K THE PIGSNothing more....Just a reminder to f**k the pigs.BOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/34977222015-01-31T17:55:37-06:002022-05-15T05:36:40-05:00Truth from Musical Fiction Once again one of our songs, which are often fictional constructs based on our world view, is proven correct from the source. In this case, it's "Hide from Tomorrow" from Love Lost For Blood Lust. I'm not saying that we're always the first to call this shit, but we think about this kind of stuff A LOT, especially because we like to write songs about it, and we definitely try to stay on the forefront. Of course, you have to understand that with our budget, it often takes years to actually get these songs recorded, so we can never prove it when we called it first ;P.
Escape for the 1%

If you'd like an appropriate soundtrack for your read, the band abides:
Hide From TomorrowBOBGOBLINtag:www.bobgoblin.com,2005:Post/32595152014-10-30T22:22:03-05:002022-05-15T05:36:58-05:00SINISTAR / ROBOTRON "VIRTUAL 45" Live EverywhereIn addition to being available on this site and on Bandcamp, which it has been for a couple of weeks, the special advance "Virtual 45" of Sinistar / Robotron is also now available via iTunes, AmazonMp3, Spotify and many other services. Both situations will inspire an unending civil war of words from internet loiterers of all stripes (of course, any reasonable debate will naturally turn into the gibberish of drooling babies in no time), but it seems to me that Missouri officials have made it clear that they stand with the nation as a whole when it comes to the ratio of crime to punishment. Pocket knife and an unpleasant demeanor? How's about nine bullets in your face! Can't stop smoking dope? How's about you go to jail...for Life! I'm sure that some would argue that Mizanskey knew what he was setting himself up for, considering Missouri's ridiculous three-strikes policy, but I imagine that in his 21 years he has watched a few homicidal drunk drivers walk through the prison doors to freedom after serving lesser terms....because, after all, alcohol is legal. We did indeed spend a good deal of time, post-major-label, under the moniker of our more poppy alter-ego AOJ (Adventures of Jet), and honestly we might have found more success with that endeavor overall. However, a few years back, certain socio-politcal issues inspired us to return to our original path, refocusing on the ideological and artistic inclinations that defined why we set out on this journey together in the first place. Since our return to the original name and to our rejuvenated pursuit, we have been hard at work on a few different records and a few video projects. As yet, all of these projects are in various states of completion, but many of the songs are already available in digital form, making it fairly clear where we stand and what we are after 20-plus years of friendship. If you are new to the world of BOBGOBLIN, we invite you to go to the MUSIC page and acquaint yourself with some of our 20 years of rock. There may come a day when it's simply not feasible to tour at all, but for better or worse, we will likely keep churning out tunes until the union is broken by the hooded skeleton.
